Peer review

Received papers are first analyzed by the Editor in Chief in order to decide if the paper fits the topics of the journal. Out of topic papers will be returned to the authors.

After this preliminary step, papers that fit to the topic of the journal are evaluated by two independent scientific reviewers.

Reviewers’ identity is undisclosed to the authors. Reviewers give to the Editor in Chief their comments on the scientific content of the paper and on the opportunity of publishing it. Editor in Chief summarizes reviewers’ observations in order to be communicated to the corresponding author. When the reviewers have divergent opinions upon a paper, the Editor in Chief may submit the paper to a third referee for a further evaluation. Taking into account the opinions of all referees, the Editor in Chief decides on the acceptance/revision/rejection of the paper. The revision process is very fast, usually within 4 weeks.

Upon acceptance of an article by the Journal, the author(s) will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher (Copyright_transfer). This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. The content of The Annals of the University Dunarea de Jos of Galati – Food Technology may be freely used and disseminated for scientific purposes. No part of The Annals of the University Dunarea de Jos of Galati – Food Technology can be used for commercial use. Derivatives of the journal content is permitted.
